In Honor of St. Anthony's Feast Day, Wed., June 13, 2007

O miracle-working St. Anthony, remember that it never has been heard that you left without help or relief anyone who in his need had recourse to you. Animated now with the most lively confidence, even with full conviction of not being refused, I fly for refuge to thee, O most favored friend of the Infant Jesus. O eloquent preacher of the divine mercy, despise not my request, but, bringing them before the throne of God, strengthen them by your intercession and obtain for me the favor I seek in this prayer. Please help us find a good home for Princess Grace, the cat whose caretaker passed away. Saint Anthony, pray for us! Amen

3 MORE CATS ADOPTED ON SAT., 12/30/06 by AWARE.

AWARE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS TO HELP SUPPORT THEIR CAT SANCTUARY.
Note from AWARE: Oakley made herself right at home here and has been exploring the house and meeting the other kitties. Oscar is mostly in the basement, but came upstairs last night to check things out. Tucks is hanging out in one of our closets, she is letting us pet her and is becoming more comfortable in her new surroundings.

Everyone else is doing well and is looking forward to a nice sunny day tomorrow. (Tues., 01/02/07)
THANK YOU TO AWARE FOR ADOPTING OAKLEY, TUCKS, AND OSCAR.
Oakley #19447 is a gray tabby female.
Tucks is a gray and white semi-feral female.
Oscar is a black feral male.

Christmas Eve Cats Pray & Purrin' Cats Pray for a Furrever Home

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE PURRIN' AT PANTOPS CATS AND VOLUNTEERS

Silent Nights

According to Dutch lore, cats pray only on Christmas Eve and their prayers are always answered. This legend may well have inspired Clement C. Moore’s well-known words “Not a creature was stirring—not even a mouse”!
Special Mention - Bojangles.—Tina Jones, Allison Park, Pennsylvania

Picture of Bojangles (above) and the above note are from Page-A-Day Cat Calendar Dec. 24, 2002. Click on the title link.

BERT WAS ADOPTED! A REALLY BIG CAT!

Now Bert will look great under that Christmas tree just in time. After Bert's appearance on TV Wednesday at noon, several folks were interested in him. He was adopted by an older retired lady into a one-cat household, and Bert went home Wednesday afternoon. Good luck, Bert. We love you.

Bert
Tiger, Domestic Short Hair - Gray
Size: Extra Large, Age: Adult, Gender: Male, ID: 23541

Bert is a big cat – a really big cat! He weights about 18-19 pounds. His identical twin brother Ernie was just adopted. Bert seems to be okay with this because now he has the whole cage to himself. Even though he does have an extra-large cage, it is barely big enough for him. All the volunteers love Bert. He will purr and purr for you. Bert is one terrific cat – more like a big and soft cuddly teddy bear. He rolls over and shows you his belly. He would look great under your Christmas tree this year. Please give Bert a good home. Bert was adopted from Purrin’ at Pantops.

Miranda (Former Purrin' Cat) Update from Linda

I think this picture of the 4 cats is PRICELESS!

Miranda is still fearless. She doesn't start anything, but won't back down either, even if it's one of the dogs!
Here are some pictures (please excuse the catnip oll over the floor). I think someone ripped open a toy. I don't know why the coloring looks so brown??
I wish I could have gotten Spot (Smokey) in the "gray squad" picture, but she is still the loner.
