Perseus #29914, our NBC29 TV Cat of the Week

2008april12pic 0602008april12pic 0942008april12pic 0952008april12pic 0132008april12pic 026My name is Perseus, ID#29914. I was left in the after-hours holding pens behind the CASPCA on February 5, 2008. Now, I am hoping for the chance to get a forever home. Please don't let my "poodle-appearance" surprise you. I am a very beautiful Angora mix neutered male. I had a lot of mats, so I have what they call a "lion cut" right now. My fur will grow back in this time without the mats. I am approximately 2 years old. We calculate my birthday is May 11, 2006. I am very petite and delicate and only weigh 8-1/2 pounds. I am staying here at the SPCA rummage store hoping that you will take me home and adopt me. I am up to date with all my shots and ready to be yours. If you would like to see me, please ask for Jan or one of the CASPCA associates. The SPCA Rummage Store, 434-293-8475, is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 AM-6 PM and located on Preston Avenue next to Martin's Hardware and Shenandoah Joe's Coffee. Hugs and Purrs. Love, Perseus #29914 =^..^=

REMEMBER POWDER? HE HAS BEEN RETURNED & IS IN FOSTER CARE

Powder was with us at the old Purrin' next to Giant Foods. He had a serious tear duct blockage, but was adopted, and we were told his eye problem was resolved.
Powder was returned, and his eyes are still the same. Purrin' has paid to have eyelid surgery performed, and he is now living comfortably in foster care with a volunteer. Please get well little Powder.

Domestic Long Hair-white
Size: Medium, Age: Adult, Gender: Male, ID: 18325
Notes: Powder is a sweet boy...he loves to be held and petted. He will purr and meow ever so softly when you show him love and affection. Please make his life happy and complete...adopt him today through Purrin' at Pantops.

PLEASE PRAY FOR PETE - BILLY EARL

Billy Earl's adoptive mom asks us to please pray for him. This is what she reports about Pete (Billy Earl)

"I have sad news about Billy Earl (Pete). He went in this morning to have 4 more teeth removed and surgery to correct a problem he was having with his eyelid rolling into his eyeball which caused constant irritation and infection. The vet office called me 20 minutes ago to tell me that once they had him under anesthesia, the vet found a massive tumor in his jaw that was not there when they did his first dental. I am so very very sad. I'll give you an update tomorrow when I know more, but his prognosis is not good. He may only live another 2 months. I might just take the rest of the day off because I keep crying at my desk. Sorry for the sad update, but I thought you would want to know."

I remember how good of a cat Pete was at Purrin' and how large. He didn't mind having his ears cleaned every day. Judy used to clean them and she did the adoption.
