Papoose and 2 kittens adopted, Rebel Yell returned, McScruff spent a night with the barn cats.

On Saturday, July 22, 2006, our beautiful and declawed Papoose was adopted by a very nice man and woman who said it was "Love at first sight".
Two more kittens adopted from our Kitty City.

Rebel Yell (AKA Paul Newman) was returned to Purrin' by the Radio Shack employee who found him in the store, but he did try again to escape up the ceiling when our backs were turned. Thank goodness Glenda noticed, and we are keeping the door shut at all times.
Since Rebel Yell has been gone, McScruff was a bit of a terror to some volunteers, strengthening our case that he is a barn cat. McScruff (AKA James Dean) spent one night in the barn cat room. He now has a bad-boy reputation like in the movie Rebel Without a Cause. He promises to be good from now on and is back on the floor, but has to stay in the cage. He slept on his back showing his belly all day and regrets his past bad behavior.
"Please forgive me, Wendy." "I'll be good from now on. I'll do anything you ask as long as you say I don't have to go back in the barn cat room."
McScruff is a very handsome, mostly white, Bobtail cat, who gets a lot of attention because he is so great looking. He reminds me of Matisse - another handsome cat from Purrin' - that eventually found his home with a horse estate where he is a stable/barn cat.
